Mice of the Nine Lives (Pennant)
Published in Paperback by Bob Jones Univ Pr (October, 1994)
Average review score:

A delightful book for kids and adults too!Join Charles and Oliver, two loyal, bewiskered, subjects of Her Majesty, The Queen of England as they and their feline friends work to outsmart Captain Crag and his mangy sea dogs. Tim Davis does an excellent job in this second "mouse" book in both the story and illustrations. He has created a charming story of cats and mice (natural enemies) who are fast friends, joined together in adventure and sailing as they try to rescue Captain Tabby's ship THE SEVEN SEAS from fierce pirate dogs. I introduced a five-year-old friend to these stories, and haven't had a rest since.:)

The Mill on the Boot: The Story of the St. Paul and Tacoma Lumber Company
Published in Paperback by University of Washington Press (September, 1985)
Average review score:

Worth its weight in woodchipsI originally came accross the hardbound version of this book at the Tacoma Public Library Northwest Room while doing research for a book I am writing on the old Cascade Paper Company.
Mr Morgan did a great job on this book. It is very well researched and contains a great deal of detail not only on the St Paul and Tacoma Lumber company, but on the lives and personalities of the men who started and ran the company.
The chapters follow a natural flow of history and are emensely enhanced with lots of old photographs of the company and the Tacoma area.
Whether you are doing research on Tacoma, the lumber industry or you just like reading about history, this is a northwest classic. I intend to order my own copy and will probably read it several times.
Great job, Mr. Morgan!

Minerva Louise

the best picture book in the universeMinerva Louise is the chicken version of Amelia Bedelia, and ideal for the youngest children -- the art is bright and bold, the humor very obvious and accessible.

Minerva Louise and the Red Truck
Published in Hardcover by Dutton Books (September, 2002)
Average review score:

Minerva Louise and the Red TruckThis book about a Minerva Louise adventure was a first for my five year old son and me, and he has never laughed harder at a story. The illustrations are simple and humorous, and the story about Minerva Louise's creative misperceptions is hilarious. I've ordered a bunch of these for gifts for friends and family!

Average review score:

You will revisit this book many times!Mommies is such a delightful book! My two year old daughter loves it. After asking me to read it time and again, my daughter can recite the book word for word. The delightful rhyming patterns and illustrations make you want to read it over and over. Any child that reads this book can relate to what the children and their Mommies are doing; singing songs in the car; playing in the tub; swinging high . . . You and your child, whether girl or boy, will enjoy this short and sweet book that captures many of the everyday things that a Mommy and her child does.

Monet : The Artist Speaks
Published in Hardcover by HarperCollins (April, 1996)
Average review score:

You Love Monet, You'll Love This Book!I bought this lovely book from a bookstore in Subic Bay during my vacation. I enjoy it a lot. The reason I love it is because most of the time, you buy something related to an artist, you hear the writer say about the artist. But this one, you hear what the artist thinks. Plus the works from Monet beside every sentence, this book is really a wisdom of a true artist! As a matter of fact, I'm trying to buy the same series, but it seems not so easy to find.
By the way, there are notes for those words which tell you when Monet said or wrote them. It helps.

The Mongol Empire and Its Legacy
Published in Paperback by Brill Academic Publishers (December, 2000)
Average review score:

Major evaluation of the Mongol impact on historyThe Mongol empire was founded early in the thirteenth century by Chinggis Khan and within the span of two generations embraced most of Asia, becoming the largest land based state in history. The united empire lasted only until around 1260 but the major successor states continued on in the Middle East, present day Russia, Central Asia and China for generations, leaving a lasting impact much of which was far from negative on these areas and their peoples. The papers in this volume present new perspectives on the establishment of the Mongol empire, Mongol rule in the eastern Islamic world, Central Asia and China, and the legacy of this rule. The various authors approach these subjects from the view of political, military, social, cultural and intellectual history. Most of the essays offer original research and visit major controversies in Mongol studies. Now that the volume is priced for individual purchase the volume should become an optional text for class use. The book is a must-read for the specialist and worth a close look by generalists.

Morgan Fairchild's Super Looks
Published in Paperback by Pocket Books (October, 1984)

A Wonderful Piece of WorkThis book was well written. It really goes through your basic beauty routines on makeup, hair, facials, vitamins, fashion....even stress. Morgan goes through each part of our own person and explanes how some women get into a fashion rut, and how to get out. She has this book wonderfuly full of colorful photos, and it is loaded with stories both comic and serious. A trully enlightening and educational book. Other books that are similar to this are Sophia Loren's "Women and Beauty", "Color Me Beautiful", and Mary Kay's "A Guide To Beauty". All of which are full of information on everything.
